A regional unit of the multinational telecommunications firm Cable & Wireless PLC, Cable & Wireless Turks & Caicos has a long history with the islands starting with the laying of the transatlantic cable in 1898. As an offshore financial domicile, the Turks & Caicos Islands has a sophisticated telecommunications infrastructure that bely's their small size. Despite the infrastructure many people still had limited access to modern telecommunications and the internet.
Our Solution
Marathon was asked to market their new telephone and internet services. The imagery needed to be simple, bold and flexible enough to be applied consistently through a wide range of applications and not alienate those who were not technologically savvy. Additionally, the concept had to fit within the global branding guidelines of the parent company.
Rather than trying to portray these services in the high tech manner that was so popular, Marathon chose to develop a series of bold, simple graphics to illustrate the various services offered. These graphics were then applied across a range of collateral from brochures and posters to vehicles. The campaign proved so successful that it was applied in other Caribbean countries.
